Should channel be on 999 at the same time of recharge

I am connecting a new LNB to a dish.And I want to recharge my dish tv subscription.I wanted to know if it has to be on Channel 999 at the same time of recharge...or can I first recharge n then after some hours put it on channel 999 for it to get activated.My last recharge was many months back..Please help.

better to power on your set top box before recharge.

You need to keep Stb on to receive the command

all deactive stb s must on , when recharge subscription amount.In this way u can get picture easily. otherwise want update and refresh the vc . better keep on the stb while recharge ..:k
