MUMBAI: English movie channel Pix will air the final instalment of ‘Hunger Games’ on 11 December. Viewers can watch Katniss Everdeen and her army taking on the Capitol at 1 pm and 9 pm.
All hopes are pinned on Katniss Everdeen as she gears up to win the war against president Snow and his dictatorial Capitol. In ‘Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 2’ the biggest conflict takes place as the district army prepares itself to put an end to the ruling Capitol.
Directed by Francis Lawrence, the film is an adventurous journey that puts an end to the helplessness and despair of the citizens of the districts, after a long wait. The fourth and the final instalment of the sci-fi film is nothing short of a brilliant display of action and drama.
Jennifer Lawrence’s strong portrayal as Katniss Everdeen won her 12 nominations and she became an action hero for the kids. ‘Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 2’ was also praised for its filmmaking aesthetics and spectacular special effects.
Based on the novel ‘Mockingjay’, the story begins with increasing dictatorship of the Capitol leading to immense suffering by the districts. To end the misery Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) decides to kill president Snow (Donald Sutherland) and end the rule once and for all. Her best friend Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) is brainwashed by the rival army and she is set on the ambition to avenge her sister’s death. People she once trusted have a bigger game plan than Katniss could ever imagine and things do not go as desired.
The film grossed over $650 million worldwide and was number one at the international box-office for four consecutive weekends in 2015.
