I am very proud to see the growth of Star Jalsha as the No. 1 Bengali TV channel over the past decade and a half. Most of the serials that are aired across the Star network today are originally from Star Jalsha. It has not only the best scriptwriters but also the best on-air graphics designers of all the Star network GECs.
Yet you will not find it always talking about being the No. 1 channel as much as Asianet or Star Pravah do. It mostly does not make a lot of noise and DDF members do not update regularly about it as well. But it is the reason for the success of Star Plus, Star Maa, Star Vijay and others. Hope more DDF members give it credit more often and we get to hear of new Star Jalsha shows more.

Bengalis doesn't make much noise about their entertainment. Many doesn't know that we even have the original Tollywood. You won't find any fan worshippers and PR trolls here. We have a life. Entertainment is a part of our culture since pre-independence. We watch and enjoy ourselves instead of bad mouthing and peddling hatred about other's content.
