Both Kutty and Singh will assume their new roles in January.
Currently, Kutty is the business head of the English movie and entertainment cluster while Singh is the business head of the English movie cluster.
Kutty will replace K Sriram, who had left the organisation in September. Singh will take over Kutty’s role.
The announcement about the changes was made by Star India CEO entertainment Amit Chopra in an internal email to employees.
“I am pleased to announce the movement of Krishnan Kutty as GM – Star Vijay and the elevation of Nandini Singh as GM – English cluster comprising the English movies and English entertainment channels portfolio,” Chopra said in the email.
Both Kitty and Nandini are experienced Star hands having spent more than a decade at the organisation.
“Krishnan Kutty has several hits to his credit across the multiple roles he has handled at Star thus far. He has headed the research function at Star, led the project to launch Star HD channels and shaped our distribution agenda during his stints as the head of carriage and head of the overall distribution business,” Chopra said.
About Singh, he added, “Nandini, over the years, has played many successful roles in the organisation—she was a key member of Star Plus brand refresh team in 2010, worked on scaling up Pravah sales in 2013 and has more recently led the successful launch of Star Movies Select as the business head of the English movies portfolio.”
