MUMBAI: On the occasion of Gudi Padwa, Star Pravah has designed a special event ‘Chaitra Chahul 2015: Navya Natyanchi Navi Gudhi’ to celebrate the Marathi New Year with its viewers.
The event will showcase the richness of Marathi culture on 21 March at 8 pm.
Themed around ‘Sanskruti Sobat Pragati’, meaning growth with culture, ‘Chaitra Chahul’ will explore Marathi roots and values, underlining their significance in modern times.
While this is the maiden year of ‘Chaitra Chahul’ on the channel, the hallmark of this event will be the ‘Pravah Ratna’ awards.
Star Pravah will felicitate Marathi achievers with ‘Pravah Ratna Puraskar’ for their contribution to the fields of theatre, cinema, journalism, social work, television, and public service.
A Star India official spokesperson said, “On Gudi Padva day, Star Pravah is proud to present ‘Chaitra Chahul 2015′, an evening full of fun and entertainment for the entire family.
We wish to celebrate this Gudi Padva with our viewers, where our characters will entertain them and aim to become a part of every Marathi household.
