MUMBAI: Star India will air the tennis Grand Slam Wimbledon from 29 June on four of its channels—Star Sports, 2, Star Sports 4, Star Sports HD2 and Star Sports HD4.

This time too, Vijay Amritraj and Alan Wilkins will bring all the action from Star Sports’ studio.

Talking about Wimbledon, a tournament which he won seven times, multi-Grand Slam winner Pete Sampras once said, “They act like they’ve got the biggest tournament in the world, and they’re right, they do.”

A dedicated Wimbledon coverage by Star Sports is seeing a month of build-up to the tournament. Leading up to the tournament, Star Sports will broadcast Wimbledon films and 'golden moments’ from the previous 138 editions until the inaugural day on 29 June 2015.

First played in 1877, Wimbledon is the oldest tournament in tennis. Evoking tradition, the contest is still fought out on grass while strict rules require players to play in crisp whites.

With the famous Strawberry & Cream served off
the court, the on-court action will witness the best tennis players descending on the All England Club to pose their challenge for the ultimate prize in tennis.
