The Star Network’s Kannada GEC offering, Suvarna TV, will be airing a cookery-based reality show, ‘Kitchen Khiladigalu’, during the primetime 8 pm slot daily, Monday to Friday starting 30 January.
The Title sponsor of the show is Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) for its food brand Knorr.
Suvarna business head Anup Chandrasekharan said ”Karnataka is a state of various cultures, traditions & food habits. This show will not only be a competition for the best cook in Karnataka but will also showcase the different types of food people eat in the state. The participants of the show will represent the various regions of the state. Overall the show will be a family entertainer, which will have fun, contest & food”.
Anup further added, “We have already done auditions across various regions in the state to identify the contestants who will compete for the ultimate Kitchen Khiladi’s position. These contestants were identified based on their culinary skills and the passion they have towards the art of cooking. The show gives an opportunity to common people to showcase their culinary skills.”
Karnataka’s well known culinary expert Sihi Kahi Chandru will be the judge of the show. Srujan Lokesh, who has anchored some shows in the past for Suvarna, will be the host of the show. The show is being produced by Miditech.
