I still think Sharp LNB has the best quality, still have this brand LNB's installed in both my Tata Play and Airtel Digital TV Dish Antenna Set Up and believe me in heavy rains too i get signal...also these r having great build quality and work fine for a very long period of time.
Unfortunately with prices of everything going high and users wanting all things free or at very less cost operators have started providing lower quality LNB , STB, Dish, etc which give issues after using for few months much like in broadcast landscape too higher content acquisition costs + steep rise in transmission costs and intense competition leading to advertisers limiting buying more ad slots even on main channels and rather spreading the ad spend across various channels, OTT platforms has lead to further reduction in quality of programs/channels we receive.....also lack of innovation from broadcasters has further lead to decline in TV subscriber base as i still feel if broadcasters strategise well then channels across genres can still get huge ratings on Linear TV but sadly let alone this but they r not even doing anything to bring some unique appeal to their HD channels bcoz simulacasting same content as SD channel is again representative of lack of innovation....stated this as fall in TV viewership leads to further drop in DTH operator's revenues which accelerates drop in quality of products + services
