Tata Sky adds TLC HD World, Animal Planet HD World

Direct-to-home (DTH) player Tata Sky has added Discovery Networks’ two high-definition (HD) channels, TLC HD World and Animal Planet HD World, on its platform with immediate effect.

While TLC HD World is available on channel #250, Animal Planet HD World will be available on channel #559.

Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific EVP & GM South Asia Rahul Johri said “Discovery is the HD benchmark in India.

We pioneered high-definition with the launch of Discovery HD World and today have a portfolio of three distinct 24-hour channels.

With the availability of TLC HD World and Animal Planet HD World on Tata Sky, viewers can enjoy riveting high-definition content from across the world in the comfort of their homes.”

Targeting premium consumers, TLC HD World offers experiences from across the world.

The channel indulges the audience through its captivating content on destinations, personalities and trends underscoring its ‘Live More’ promise.

Animal Planet HD World brings alive the warm and intimate bond that exists between humans and the animal kingdom.

It broadcasts differentiated content, scheduled as per the viewers’ preference with a ‘Feel More’ promise.

Tata Sky chief content and business development officer Paolo Agostinelli added, “Tata Sky enjoys a majority share of the Indian HD market.

Some of the series on TLC HD World include ‘The Coolest Places on Earth’, which takes viewers on a journey to the most astonishing places on the planet—cities, festivals, landmarks, and jaw-dropping works of nature. Samantha Brown’ show ‘Samantha Brown:
