It is obvious that nowadays, In the total TV sales 98% of the TV units sold are of LCDs and LEDs. CRT tubes are totally phased out.
This is known to all TV channels. Even then why they telecast programs in 4:3 format. If not they switch to HD broadcast, at least they can upscale the contents to 16:9.
Watching a 4:3 program in a 16:9 TV panel is totally irritating and the horizontal stretching of the picture is very aqward.
