Times Now partners North-East’s News Live for election coverage
MUMBAI: Times Television Network-owned English news channel Times Now has entered into a content sharing partnership with the North-East’s leading English news channel News Live for the general elections. As part of the partnership, News Live will help Times Now with election coverage for the North-Eastern states while Times Now will provide News Live with its national coverage.
The two channels will also collaborate on panel discussions by sharing panellists on news coverage pertaining to the North-East. “We will act as the live bureau for the North-East for Times Now. Similarly, they will also help us with national election coverage.
The partnership will help us to get mileage nationally,” said News Live CEO Caushiq Bezbaruah. News Live is a 24-hour satellite channel owned by Pride East Entertainment which is promoted by Riniki Bhuyan Sarma, wife of Assam Congress leader Himanta Biswa Sarma. The first phase of polling kicked off with four constituencies in Assam and one in Tripura
