Discussion Total number of private satellite TV channels in India is now just 896. What will be the number in 2024 and after that?

Total number of private satellite TV channels in India is now just 896.
I want it to go as less as 400 before 2024. Is it possible, considering that most of my neighbour have brodband in a backward area of North India.

Having broadband/stable internet connection has nothing to do with the number of channels. I have a high-speed internet connection at home but still watch TV. The IPTV domain has got new life (atleast for SunDirect customers) due to SunDirect Go app. So no, I don't think many channels will shutdown anytime in the foreseeable future. In India, many private TV channels are owned by politicians or people who are affiliated to politicians in some way, and these private TV channels serve as a mouthpiece to propagate their agenda to end public so they won't be closing anytime soon even if they incur huge losses.
