MUMBAI: Contending that consumer billing is as much the responsibility of local cable operators (LCOs), multi-system operators (MSOs) have urged the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) to reconsider its proposed amendments to the quality of service (QoS) regulation that imposes fines only on MSOs for not providing bills to the customer.
In its submission to TRAI’s draft amendments, Hathway Cable & Datacom said that the onus of providing bills and receipts to customers should be squarely placed either on the MSO or on the LCO, which raises the invoiceand collects money from customers.
