MUMBAI: Lifestyle entertainment channel TravelXP has travelled to Africa to launch on Continental Satellite Ltd’s direct-to-home (DTH) service Consat in Nigeria
The channel will be available to Consat subscribers.
Continental Satellite Limited is the first operator in the African region to offer TravelXP.
Offering a mix of travel and lifestyle content in full high-definition (1080i), the channel creates its own content in-house which is in demand across the entire African region.
TravelXP HD CEO Prashant Chothani said, “Africa is a very important and challenging market for high quality high-definition television.
The percentage penetration and growth of pay TV population is one of the fastest growing markets in the world.
We are pleased to join hands with Consat to distribute our high quality content to entertain the viewers of Africa and also address the huge expatriate population consisting of residents and visitors from the Indian subcontinent to Africa.”
Customers can view the channel in the basic package on channel number 236. Consat set-top boxes are also available across Nigeria for customers to buy.
Continental Satellite Ltd CEO Mayokun Okunola said, “At Consat, we always endeavour to provide the most refreshing and relevant content to our customers. The addition of TravelXP will further enrich our bouquet of services, while offering unmatched travel and lifestyle entertainment to our viewers.
