MUMBAI: Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd’s (ZEEL) upcoming Hindi general entertainment channel &TV is building its programming mix with an array of differentiated shows.
After unveiling a game show ‘India Poochega: Sabse Shaana Kaun’, a historical ‘Razia Sultan’ and rustic tale ‘Begusarai’, the channel has now unveiled a social issue-based show ‘Gangaa’ for its 8:30 pm weekday slot.
Launching along with the channel on 2 March, the show will air from Monday to Friday and will narrate a poignant story of a spirited girl.
The channel had earlier announced ‘Razia Sultan’ at 7:30 pm, ‘India Poochega: Sabse Shaana Kaun’ for the prime slot of 9 pm and ‘Begusarai’ for 10 pm. Both shows will air from Monday to Friday.
Interestingly, ‘Gangaa’ will compete with another social issue-based show ‘Udaan’ on rival channel Colors.
&TV business head Rajesh Iyer said, “I am certain that Gangaa will establish a special bond with the audience. Ganga is an inspiring story of a young girl and her zest to live life to the fullest. Our protagonist questions the status quo and is innocently opinionated. She is a spirited soul and has the will to survive, something we all relate to.”
Produced by Sphere Origins, ‘Gangaa’ will present the story of a child widow who is characterized with an indomitable spirit and will to survive.
