Hyderabad : The braodcasting of two Telugu News channels TV9 ( Sneha Publications) , ABN Andhrajyothy (Amoda Broadcasting) operating from Hyderabad have been stopped in all parts of Telangana.
Both the channels have been reportedly aired news that could be derogatory to the sentiments of Telangana People. Telangana’s first Chief Minister K.Chandra Shekhar Rao has launched a castigating attack on both these channels in the Assembly itself, warning of them stringent action.
However it was not he government that has banned these two channels but the president of Telangana Dish operators, Subash Reddy has taken the decision, albeit under the directions of KCR himself.
Telangana MSOs have bowed down to the pressure of the government.
It remains to be seen how the issue will go forward, earlier a resolution has been passed by the State legislature of Telangana, calling for stringent action on the news channels, it is know that power to take action on Media houses is vested with Speaker of Assembly is asked to take an action on these channels by all the members of the house, passing a resolution to this extent.
Speaker, Madhusudhana Chary is reportedly mulling the guidelines based on which he would take formal action on them. TV9 , ABN broadcasting banned in Telangana | Gult Post

This channel is only banned in Telegana region. Why will DTH be bothered to ban these 2 channels as long as it is not banned by I & B Ministry
