They should have started with a super hit movie... When Sun TV started KTV channel, they premiered Kannethire Thondrinal which was a new and super hit movie at that time (1998).. Now they are not premiering new movies. But beginning is important..

Sadiq , we all know any new channels will not have Movie database as SUN or Raj or atleast Vijay.

But , yes Vendhar should have started with some TRP pulling new movies. Let us hope they concentrate on other programs at least not to repeat the mistakes done by "Puthu Yugam".

Puthu Yugam isn't a failure channel, it's just not on the right placement. Just bring it next to the other list of Tamil channels then there would atleast be a slight slip to the top channels and a good increase to Puthu Yugam. I'm not saying it will become #1 but if given place with the other Tamil channels then it would get a better TRP and might march towards the top in future.

Even now if they can try to place both PY and Vendhar tv next to next and check their performance.

I expect Vendhar to be an upgraded Puthu Vugam and will help reach mass audience with Arasu's and other DTH help, hopefully they place them on the right location for easy access with other Tamil channels.

Throwing channels here and there would only spoil their reach to people.
