Vh1 to telecast 72nd Golden GlobeAwards on 12 January

Vh1 will commence the international
awards season with the 72nd annual Golden
Globe Awards airing live on the channel on 12
January.

The awards will be presented by Micromax and
powered by Garnier Men. The ceremony will be
telecast live from Beverly Hills, California at 6:30
am with a primetime repeat at 9 pm. This will be
the fourth year of Vh1 consecutively airing the
award property.

Viacom18 English entertainment EVP and head
Ferzad Palia said, “Vh1 brings in the new year
with one of the biggest and most acclaimed
award ceremonies. With a deep and rich legacy
and with the best in Hollywood lining up for the
show, the 72nd Annual Golden Globe awards
ceremony is going to be better than ever and we
are delighted to bring all the action to our
audiences live from Beverly Hills, right from the
red carpet to the actual awards function.”

Previous winners, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will
return to host this year’s Golden Globe awards
for the third year in a row.
