yes,its on higher side, sincerely I tried to call them cc to ask for a best new year HD upgrade offer, considering that other dth players like TS was offering at Rs.999 only on new year to their customers.

d2h cc said this is the spl price,else it will be hiked to Rs.3150 and biggest joke of the year he made is that "d2h is the best, and we cannot compare it with TS"....

D2h giving HD box @ price of SD for new customers i.e for Rs.2000/- but for existing customers to upgrade from SD to HD they are charging Rs.1490/-.

Both TS & Dish Tv only charging Rs.990/- for their existing customers.

D2h should try to treat their existing customers on par with other operators.
