Why are you not using DTH of your own country (Please note, I am asking in general way just curious to know )? Moreover, as per my knowledge, there are many shops in Sri Lanka which are providing facility of recharge

Sri Lanka have 2 DTH providers and an IPTV provider
They are charge LKR 750 for 5 tamil channels and many channels not available
Local shops charge high cost (INR 100 = LKR 300)

Online Recharge cost is high but you can recharge offline it cost 2.65 to 2.75 per INR

Hey guys .....
You are thinking that recharging via a debit or credit card will be cheap ... but when you compare the rates on your monthly statement you will see that both the local rates here and the bank rates similar ...
At today ₹1 = 2.38 lkr

But when you check package rates
Flexi ₹ 166 = 450 to 500 there is a 60 to 80 difference
Sports pack ₹295 = 800 to 850 there is a difference of 50 to 100

As far as I know the difference is only little
If it is multiplied by 3 then some packs will be very high ...
So better recharging it here itself rather than loosing more money through online
