In week 49 (November 30 to December 6, 2014), Hindi GEC ratings saw a decline in most of the top Hindi GECs, except Star Plus and Colors, that saw their ratings rise.
According to data sourced from TAM subscribers, Star Plus, at the top, saw its ratings increase to 642 million GVTs in week 49, from 625 million GVTs in week 48. This comes as good news as the channel had seen its ratings decline for the past two weeks. Its ratings in week 48 (November 23 – 29, 2014) declined to 625 million GVTs from 631 million GVTs in week 47 (November 16 – 22, 2014).
Colors, at second spot, saw its ratings rise marginally to 476 million GVTs this week from 467 million GVTs last week. Last week, it took a large dip in its ratings as it fell to 467 million GVTs in week 48 from 482 million GVTs in week 47.
Zee TV, this week, declined to 419 million GVTs from 435 million GVTs in week 48. In the previous week, it saw a marginal increase to 435 million GVTs in week 48 from 433 million GVTs in week 47.
Life OK, coming in next, saw its ratings take a huge plunge as it slipped to 296 million GVTs in week 49 from 324 million GVTs in week 48. This comes on the back of a marginal decline in the previous week where its ratings declined to 324 million GVTs in week 48 from 326 million GVTs in week 47.
SAB TV, in fifth spot, saw its ratings decline to 281 million GVTs in week 49 from 299 million GVTs in week 48. In the previous week, it had saw its ratings grow substantially to 299 million GVTs in week 48 from 276 million GVTs in week 47.
Sony Entertainment Television (SET) saw its ratings decline marginally in week 49 to 226 million GVTs from 230 million GVTs in week 48. This comes as a slight disappointment for the channel as its ratings have seen a good rise in the past two weeks. Last week SET increased its ratings to 230 million GVTs in week 48 from 207 million GVTs in week 47.
Zee Anmol took a big hit in week 49 and, once again, saw its ratings slip to the same level as it was in week 47. In week 49, its ratings slipped to 86 million GVTs from 103 million GVTs in week 48. It saw a big rise last week in its ratings to 103 million GVTs in week 48 from 84 million GVTs in week 47.
Star Utsav declined marginally to 63 million GVTs in week 49 from 65 million GVTs in week 48. This is the second consecutive week of marginal decline for the channel.
Big Magic saw its ratings slip marginally to 61 million GVTs in week 49 from 62 million GVTs in week 48. It, however, stayed comfortably above
Rishtey which saw a marginal increase in its ratings to 58 million GVTs in week 49 from 56 million GVTs in week 48.
Sony Pal saw its ratings stay the same as last week 33 million GVTs.
This was the same with Zindagi which saw its ratings stay put at 31 million GVTs.
Sahara One increased its ratings to 10 million GVTs from 9 million GVTs last week.
EPIC channel increased it ratings 3.69 million GVTs in week 49 from 2.93 million GVTs in week 48.
