Discussion What happened to the launch of Udaya Movies HD, Surya Movies HD, Sun Bangla HD and Sun News HD?

I am creating a new thread so as to draw more attention to the topic. These channels were testing in November 2020. What happened after that? Not a mention of them in the Sun Network RIOs that were released. Like Star, Sun has also kept quiet about the launch of new channels. But Star has at least launched Pravah Picture and Star Kiran. Sun is not doing anything in this regard.

@Vadirocks anna, what do you think? Does DMK coming to power in TN improve the chances of these channels getting launched? (No political discussions please!)

Polimer News is already running as HD channel and available on VK digital for many years. The problem is they didn't apply for a new licence. Similarly very soon you can expect the same from News Tamil 247 from TCCL.

It's high time, Sun Network should at least launch Udaya Movies HD and Surya Movies HD soon. Both the channels are broadcasting new and some old movies in 16:9 ratio (somewhat downscaled HD version). Especially, Udaya Movies which was telecasting only old movies has started telecasting new movies since 2-3 years and also they have remastered many old movies aspect ratio to 16:9 and also the print quality. These two channels have to be launched soon.
