What’s-On-India, the country’s premiere TV Guidance company announced the launch the first of its Smart Phone offerings this week. The company has launched a Smart Phone website to help viewers get real-time suggestions on the best programs to watch on Television. The service is located at http://whatsonindia.com/smart/ and can be accessed from smart phones.
“The smart phone space is developing into a big category which cannot be avoided and growing fast. Research proves that you would want or have your phone near you while watching television. While What’s-On-India itself feeds program guides to millions of DTH and digital cable set-top boxes, there is still a very large 70% analog cable TV market to address for whom mobile becomes ideal on a search device for television. Our site enables users to search for a particular program, favorite actors, sports, news, documentaries and much more and also allows users to set reminders for their convenience.” says Abrar Shaikh GM What’s-On-India.
What’s-On-India is also looking at entering the Apps ecosystem for different connected devices and will be announcing launches in this area shortly. It has already tested Apps on Nokia Ovi Stores and on Facebook.com.
