Seeking Help Which DTH has Better SD picture quality in HD box?

Hi bros...
I'm using Videocon D2H HD and is planning to shift to a new HD DTH provider
My main concern is SD channel picture quality as my parents are complaing about that in those Malayalam channels they watch regularly. I calibrated the Tv manually for no use.Then I was waiting for the merger to complete and get some magic,even after a recent software update the pq remains same and there is some variable audio issues as wel.
So I have gone through many of the pq related threads in this forum and is confused between Airtel and TataSky
As of my knowledge both are providing HEVC STBs for new HD connection(pardon me if wrong)and that has some issues in pq.
I'm Using 32'LG HD ready tv
Please suggest me The one with better SD Pq in HD box(Airtel/TS)

i think Both Airtel n TS HEVC Boxes have Minor PQ issues...So Go for Non HEVC box (Technicolor in TS).

i am happy with the Airtel Flextronics box PQ for SD & HD. Even SD is much better than the earlier cable TV PQ IMO on our LCD TV.

non hevc box means SD box? Or older ver of HD box?
