I have a standard (non HD) recorder and will purchase a HD Recorder for my second TV.

Airtel charge Rs. 200 per month for second box if it is a HD box but charges Rs. 180 if the second box is a SD (non HD) box.

Why the additional Rs. 20? What benefits do we get?

Simple thing, they charge 20rs more for 17 hd channels.

primary-sd,secondary-hd,they willn't allow. If allow you have to pay 180(SD)+175 hd topup for viewing.

So buy a hd recorder.make it primary. You will be charged 180rs. for sd.

The Airtel CC told me that HD box will remain the secondary box.

If I activate a plan, for example Economy Sports on my primary SD (non HD) box, then I will have to pay Rs. 200 for the secondary HD box and get all the channels from Economy Sports Pack and all the 17 HD channels as I will be paying Rs. 200 instead of Rs. 180.

Is it true?
