Hyderabad : The leading Telugu Satellite channel ''Zee Telugu" is all set to launch the new fiction show "Amma Naa Kodala" on 15th December.
The new show which will be aired @ 6:30PM on every Monday to Saturday replaces Zee Telugu's famous daily serial ‘Kalavari Kodallu’ which has completed over 1000 episodes.
'Amma Naa Kodala' will be produced by Small Screen Actor cum Producer ‘Prabhakar’ who is also considered as the mega star of Telugu Television Industry.
Prabhkar's previous project with Zee Telugu, ''Muddu Bidda" was a historic grand success.
'Amma Naa Kodala' is the story of Mother-in-law 'Anasuya' who is very greedy with four sons, out of them three are already married. She respect's her daughter-in-laws based on the quantity of their dowries. Hence, first daughte- in-law (Played by well known small screen actress ‘ Sumanasri ‘) does all the domestic work in Anasuya’s house as she did not bring any dowry.
Whereas, second and third daughter-in-law’s enjoy a royal life in her house as they get half crore and one crore as their marriage dowry respectively. Her fourth Son is Kousik and the twist of the story will be, how the kind hearted girl Madhumathi enters Anasuya’s house as fourth daughter-in-law and how the tit for tat game begins between them.
Anasuya’s character has been played by popular film actress Nalini an erstwhile South film Heroine acted in hit movies like ‘Prema Sagaram’ and recently played a key role in Ravi Teja’s ‘Kick’ Movie.
Madhumathi’s character has been played by Nithya who is famous for her dual role performance in ‘Muddu Bidda’ serial in Zee Telugu.
The channel is promoting the show through a multimedia campaign in AP and Telangana. The channel also promotes the show with innovative on-air promo's.
Zee Telugu is pinning huge expectations on this show as the performance of 6:30 PM slot is a crucial factor for any Telugu GEC as the slot is considered as the gateway for prime-time. thus, helping other following time bands to achieve better ratings.
