This July, Zee TV will see some changes in its weekday programming line-up as two of its shows are set to go off the air. While one will be shifted to a new time slot, two new shows will hit the air.

Premiering on 20 July, ‘Sarojini’ will capture the role education plays in making women more independent and confident of asserting themselves in their own households.

The show will occupy the early primetime slot of 6:30 pm, airing from Monday to Friday. It will replace the ongoing show ‘Service Wali Bahu’.

Zee TV business head Pradeep Hejmadi said, “Zee TV, as a socially responsible broadcaster, has always created awareness through its content and influenced public mindsets positively.

Sarojini endeavours to highlight how education serves as the wind beneath a woman’s wings, giving her the self-esteem she needs to assert herself.

Our protagonist Sarojini will surely be a role model for countless women across India and a harbinger of hope and positive change.”

The primetime offering stars Shiny Doshi in the title role of Sarojini and Mohit Sehgal as her husband Somendra. Pankaj Tripathi will play the role of the antagonist Dushyant. The show is produced by Rashmi Sharma Telefilms.
