Even in the movie channel segment Zee Talkies is the only one from a big network, and Shemaroo MarathiBana is the only other competitor (as Fakt Marathi is a GEC now). Neither Star nor Sony/Viacom18 have anything else.

Also, Marathi will be the first language where any big network other than Sun and Star* (not counting 9X Media) is launching a regional music channel. Viacom18 has no plans to launch regional music channels despite successfully running MTV, MTV Beats and VH1.

*Today Star has only Star Maa Music but Vijay Music will be launched in due course.
