Tata Play, India’s largest pay DTH operator has added 4 channels on its platform on 2nd February 2024. These 4 channels are namely HNN News, NE News, Hornbill TV, and Jonack. All of them are available for free and Tata Play subscribers can watch HNN News on Channel No. 1141, NE News on Channel No. 1982, Hornbill TV on Channel No. 1978, and Jonack on Channel No. 1962.
HNN 24×7 is a Hindi news channel covering the latest news and happenings in politics, entertainment, Bollywood, business and sports. After that, NE News is one of the leading multilingual and Northeast’s fastest live news channels. The news channel Hornbill TV operates 24 hours daily and is based in Chümoukedima, Nagaland, India. Hornbill TV showcases news reports, feature stories, and interviews from Hornbill News correspondents and reporters who are reporting on events throughout Nagaland. Lastly, Jonack is an Assamese language general entertainment television channel owned by Brahmaputra Tele Productions Pvt. Ltd. of Guwahati, Assam. It is a sister channel of the popular Assamese news channel DY365.
These launches were crucial for expanding regional languages, ensuring the visibility and distribution of 4 new channels with this small but important step and Tata Play has been putting more emphasis on including Assamese-based channels on their platform.
Tata Play has also recently added Sony Sports Ten 4 HD on Channel No. 1554 next to its SD variant available on Channel No. 1552. The company is striving to become the operator with the most HD and SD channels by adding channels from every state and genre. A few more HD and SD channels are expected to be added by Tata Play in the upcoming weeks by other broadcasters.
