Bharti Airtel has introduced the fourth version of its Hybrid Android set-top box Airtel Xstream that comes pre-installed with Android 10 and is manufactured by renowned manufacturer Technicolor.
Compared to the Airtel Xstream’s third version, apart from upgraded software, this box has a slightly different design since the last model used to be manufactured by Skyworth, another prominent manufacturer of STBs.
In terms of design, Airtel has brought back the rounded corners to give the box a sleek and modern look. On the front side, there is an Xstream logo that glows when powered on, along with Android, and Dolby Atmos brandings on the right side.
On the rear, a coaxial input, SPDIF, RCA input, HDMI, Ethernet, USB and power input ports are present. Similar to the previous model, this box is also Netflix certified and supports all OTT apps including Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+ Hotstar, Zee5 and more. Additional apps can be downloaded from Google Play Store as well. This box is said to be upgradable to Android 11 too.
However, being the latest model, it will be currently available only at select dealers and locations. The new Xstream STB will be provided for new connections after the stock for the older models goes out of stock in your region.

Update: Airtel is currently shipping this box with Android 9 and an OTA software upgrade will be pushed later.
