Bhojpuri entertainment channel Zee Ganga rebrands to Zee Anmol Cinema 2

Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited (ZEEL) has launched its new Hindi movie channel Zee Anmol Cinema 2 by replacing Zee Ganga on 26th April 2024. Zee Ganga was the last Bhojpuri entertainment channel offered by ZEEL. Currently, Zee Biskope is available in the Bhojpuri Movies category. Zee Anmol Cinema 2 is a new Hindi movie channel and a sister channel to other Zee’s Hindi movie channels.

The on-screen logo and graphics of newly launched Zee Anmol Cinema 2 contain orange color, which is very different from the current pink which is being used by Zee Anmol and Zee Anmol Cinema. Recently, Zee Anmol Cinema changed its graphics style and color from yellow to pink, giving it a modern look and departing it from 7-year-old graphics.

Originally launched as Big Ganga Bihar/Jharkhand

Zee Anmol Cinema 2 was initially launched as Big Ganga Bihar/Jharkhand in 2011. Back then, Big Ganga Bihar/Jharkhand was under Reliance Broadcast Network. Big Ganga Bihar/Jharkhand later became Big Magic Ganga and then turned into Big Ganga.

In 2016, Zee acquired Big Magic from Reliance Broadcast Network and then in 2021, Zee rebranded Big Ganga to Zee Ganga with the slogan Har Pal, Aviral (Every Moment, is precious) leaving Big Magic the only channel to be continued with Big Brand.

Zee Ganga was always in the downfall position in terms of television ratings and was struggling a lot. So, Zee decided to pull this channel out of the Bhojpuri entertainment category and renamed it to Zee Anmol Cinema 2, a new Hindi Movie channel airing Bollywood movies and other language movies dubbed into Hindi.

Availability of Zee Anmol Cinema 2 on DTH platforms

Zee Anmol Cinema 2 is present on all major Direct-to-home (DTH) operators. The LCN of this channel on the Tata Play platform is 377, LCN 653 on Airtel Digital TV, LCN 352 on Sun Direct, and LCN 354 and 371 on Dish TV and D2H respectively. It has also been added to free-to-air satellite television provider DD Free Dish on LCN 73.
