Saved by the Future

CNN is launching a new series ‘Saved by the Future’ wherein some of the biggest names in science and technology spotlight breakthrough innovations that can transform our lives in decades to come. The brand new series will debut on 17th October 2020 with a 30 minute episode show.

The first of the three 30-minute shows will have Nicki Shields guide conversations with Bill Nye, Fabien Cousteau, and Kathy Sullivan who transport you to a world of future possibilities.

Shields first speaks with Bill Nye about the future of space exploration who discusses the domino effect of LightSail 2 spacecraft on the building blocks for future technology. Fabien Cousteau explores the impact of advancements in automation and underwater mobility on humankind’s understanding of our own oceans.

Shields finally speaks with Kathy Sullivan who explains to CNN how the oceans are in need of a major technological upgrade while satellites in space are able to communicate a snapshot of the weather on earth.

The 30-minute special episodes will air at 11:00am and 3:30pm on 17th October and at 7:30 am and 10:30pm on 18th October.

  1. I’ll watch it. My only problem is, that I don’t know its airtime. Besides, CNN International, is not on most U.S. cable systems
