Airtel Digital TV has launched two new monthly HD packs for ROI and Tamil Nadu region first spotted by DreamDTH. Out of the two packs launched one of the pack is a newer version of an existing pack.
Freedom Sports HD and TN Regional 1M HD Urban New are the two newly launched packs. The latter pack carries 60 channels as compared to its older version carrying 59 channels.
Tata Sky has last week rolled out a service update for its Tata Sky+ Transfer HD boxes. The release version of the new software update is v304.
The major change in the new software update is the dropping of the Video on Demand (VOD) option from the software. The other noticeable change in the update is that the Signal Test in system settings is showing the signal of all the three tuners. The box comes with triple tuners.
ETV Network has last week launched it’s Over The Top (OTT) platform ETV Win. The network is one of the largest satellite television networks in India with a bouquet of 7 SD and 5 HD channels.

Odisha Television Network has launched Odisha’s first online video streaming Over The Top (OTT) platform Tarang Plus. The app which was earlier scheduled to be launched on October 5 has after a delay been launched this Diwali on October 27.
The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) on Tuesday directed all the DTH operators and MSOs comply with the various provisions of the New Tariff Order and implement the promotional offers offered by the broadcasters in accordance with the sub-clause (4) of the clause 3 of the Tariff Order, 2017.
