Zee Punjabi must have been converted into an FTA channel (for some time now).

If it was, then it would be the most successful after Zee Keralam.

Also, they are considering reducing the price of Zee Keralam as well. That's why it was pushed to 5th place from 2nd place.

I still can't believe zee Punjabi is shutting down like not stopping 1 or 2 shows literally all shows stopped at once. After zee ganga this is another GEC they shutting down they could have atleast converted it into movie channel

Zee has a history of suddenly killing a channel, Zee Ganga, Zee Vajwa, Zee Smile, Zee Etc Punjabi
And adding Zee Punjabi now in the list, hope not....
They should either make it FTA, let it gain some momentum and then, if needed make it a pay channel again...

India's No.1 punjabi channel is going to die.....
I'm not a Zee fan, but feeling so sad, listening this unbelievable news!!!

It is ONE & ONLY Punjabi original GEC. Zee should not kill this channel. When it was available on DDFD, it was no.1 beating PTC Punjabi. It should be return on DDFD as earlier. Then only they will regain their first position.

If they unable to run original content, they should make it at least a hybrid channel for movie-music, devotional shows, few dubbed shows, but should not stop this channel.

I think ppl not interested in GECs, more interested in music.
Thats why Punjabi music is thriving, and kind of overtaking bollywood music industry !

I think there are about 10+ Punjabi music chnls on our DTH.

Isn't the entire PTC network suite music channels? I think only PTC News offers something that's entirely not musical and even then during dead hours just like News18 Punjabi they air best of entertainment that's pretty much just comedy and music segments rebroadcasts.
