Vh1 India is the last Vh1 International channel to be on air currently.

All other versions of VH1 already shut down in different countries, Outside US this is the only version which is still on air that itself is a very big thing and it means channel generated good enough ratings to survive for so long, in many areas of Mumbai, VH1 is very famous, almost like a religion, I am sure it would not have been shutdown if this merger had not happen, this merger was not that good for viewers even after all the hype

Well don't agree on that, the channels etc. will remain only the delivery mechanism would see a massive change. So instead of dth you may receive content via. digital terrestrial transmission. Maybe paid or free with support from ads. But yes the picture quality etc. would see a massive change. So forget about SD 480p or lesser in near future. We are talking about 720p, 1080p or 2160p being beamed directly into your homes in future. Plus instead of Generic channels, we may look at Genre specific ones hitting our screens. And right now we are in process of change.
