20 Years for DD Sports

If I am not wrong the only major sporting event they paid actual money was for 1999 Cricket World Cup.

I think DD was the one and only broadcaster of the Olympics until London 2012. Correct me if wrong.

I don't think public broadcasters needed to buying rights of Olympics Games, Commonwealth Games or Asian Games.

Off topic: We don't want free WiFi. The Govt purchase all pay channels and give to people in low rates.

We were on that socialistic path(everything Govt controlled) till 1991 and economy almost collapsed fortunately Mr Singh was there to rescue us. We don't want to get back to those days

DD sports had BCCI rights from 1998 to 2002.
The gr8 Aus tour of india (laxman - 281), has been telecasted live in DD sports , and at that time it was pay channel. Most of the cable operators not showed dd sports at that time and the match has been blacked out in most parts of the country.
