Aavishkar Media’s 5th BCS Ratna Awards and SatCab Symposium on 20 February
MUMBAI: Aavishkar Media Group, which mainly focuses on the Indian broadcast and cable TV industry, has announced the fifth edition of its BCS Ratna Awards that will felicitate achievement, contribution and innovation of personalities from the broadcast and distribution industry.
To be held on 20 February 2014 in New Delhi, the award ceremony will honour the game-changers in the Indian broadcast, media, entertainment, DTH and CATV industry.
There will also be a lifetime achievement award.
The winners will be selected through an independent jury panel.
In the broadcast sector, the categories include best proactive strategic planning, best marketing campaign of the year, most outstanding use of viewer interactive system, best studio design & PCR, best politoons series, remarkable corporate social responsibility project (CSR) and most outstanding content provider in the fields of GEC, news (both Hindi and English), sports, music, spiritual, adventure and lifestyle.
The categories in the distribution sector include most outstanding distribution reach, most outstanding strategy and planning, commendable relationship of distribution team with stakeholders, and most outstanding bouquet.
In the MSO sector, awards will be given in categories such as best managed distribution network, best customer care, harmonious relationship between MSO & LCO, most emerging digital approach, best digital headend, and most emerging digital approach in the regions of North, East, West and South.
The DTH sector will see awards for best customer care, innovation in programming, best customer experience, fastest growing DTH and largest DTH operator in India.
The technology sector, on the other hand, will see categories like best quality STB provider, best innovative technology, most outstanding broadcast integrator (digital headends), best middleware company, best broadband solutions and best SMS systems.
In view of the present scenario of changes and development in the broadcast and CATV industry, Aavishkar Media Group is also organising an informative and learning platform called ‘SatCab Symposium 2014’.
The symposium will comprise workshops and keynote addresses by industry leaders and policy-makers, and feature panel discussions, business deliberation and brainstorming sessions, presenting delegates with the opportunity to address the industry issues on a free, open and forward-looking platform.
The cable TV industry will be represented by its state associations from Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Assam, West Bengal, Bihar, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Rajasthan, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, J&K, Delhi NCR and more.
