Soon channel number of Epic and Bindass will also be changed. TRAI has clearly stated that each channel has to be placed only at a single slot and in the genre as declared by the broadcaster to TRAI. Also Dangal has converted into Hindi GEC long back, infact it is one of great performers in Rural belt as reflected in BARC ratings.

Coming to another reason why airtel is making these changes, well as a member has already said that to get incentives in form of discount from various broadcasters, they need to do certain things and one of it is placing channels in a particular sequence for broadcasters.

These changes have to be made before immediately to comply with rules or conditions and add new channels accordingly in empty slots. Operators cannot change LCN of new channels till one year from addition date & this point maybe strictly implemented after transition period granted to operators is over. Still i believe they will have to rearrange all LCN soon otherwise constant shifting will create more inconvenience or problems.

But it's just a replacement of channels of same broadcaster.
Does every channel have different incentive?

LCN incentive is based on the slab discount selected by the DPO and has to place all the channels in the specific manner prescribed in that slab.Channel can have different relative positioning slab tho.(Top3/Top5/Top12 etc).
