Already explained on the same earlier. Tamil and Telugu region have high potential for a broadcaster to launch regional sports channels and run it as a viable business model which ain't the case with many other languages. Launching a dedicated channel or having just audio feeds, decision is taken by thw broadcasters by taking into consideration various factors and whether return of investment is possible or not. In Tamil, Telugu languages particularly broadcasters not only get great viwwership but there r many local advertisers and even national ones which show keen interest to buy ad slots on it thus even if broadcaster puts huge investments in having such dedicated regional sports channels then same is easily recovered and infact revenue model gets expanded as one can show lot many ads across various channels and even offer advertisers customised ad slot deals to reach to national, regional or both audiences. Having a single regional channel or launching multiple audio feeds limits the scope in such circumstances however in a region launching regional sports channel is not a viable option then audio feeds r launched and some local ads or dubbed ads (on regional audip feeds) r made available so as to cater to the concerned audience as well as maintain financially viable business model .

IMO, Star should restructure their sports channels as,

Star Cricket 1 (HD+SD) - Indian CRICKET Content in English with Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil & Telugu audio feeds.

Star Cricket 2 (HD+SD) - Indian CRICKET Content in Hindi with Bengali, Bhojpuri, Marathi, Punjabi etc. audio feeds.

Star Cricket 3 (HD+SD) - Reserved for any (Indian or International) overlapped cricket content. Only English Feed.

Star Cricket 4 (HD+SD) - Dedicated channel for telecasting only other country (International) CRICKET leagues or series without blackouts! Only English Feed.

Rebrand SS Select 1 & 2 (HD+SD) Channels as Star ESPN 1 (HD+SD) & Star ESPN 2 (HD+SD) and telecast FOOTBALL & Other Niche Sports.
