Salman Khan's purpose of showing his film Chillar Party to the Information and Broadcasting minister, Ambika Soni seems to have paid off.
Reportedly, the minister loved the film and has initiated to make it tax-free in Maharashtra by sending a letter to the government recommending exemption of Chillar Party from entertainment tax. The letter stated, If the film is exempted from entertainment tax, it would go a long way in achieving the social objectives with which the film has been made.
Director Vikas Bahl said, Salman wanted Ambika Soni to watch the film and it managed to move her. She immediately sent out letters to all states, not just Maharashtra, recommending the respective governments to exempt the film from Entertainment Tax. It will help the society in a big way .
