Airtel is using Harmonics transcoder: Harmonic Powers Airtel Digital TV’s Enhanced DTH HD Offerings
Also if you have higher bit rate then less channels will fit in transponder. Airtel is highly compressed in respect to channels per transponder.

Channel switching lag is there sometime because of wi-fi remote.
Never faced any a/v sync issue.

Is it RF or wifi remote? So actually what's the issue with remote?

It is wi-fi remote with own software and voice control.
Can lag if box is processing your previous command.

Iphifi Bro for South Users South Regional SD & HD packs, in my case Tamil SD & HD channels will be available in the Internet TV Super Pack any idea??

Called cc today they said now these two base packs available for activation it seems.

Yes regional channels are included in Internet TV Super Pack. But the channels may vary depending on region. So make sure you are getting TN region pack and confirm with cc that its included (Airtel hates giving Sun channels to rest of India so it could also be in extra topup).
