Sad News Airtel Fraud: Technician gave old & used Xstream STB remote when placed request to buy new remote

Airtel is definitely a fraud company. Yesterday my 4 yr old xstream stb remote was got damaged due to battery leakage, so i raised a service request to buy a new remote. So technician came today and he gave me very old used xstream remote at rs 350 + 50rs for delivery and pairing charge. I asked him does airtel gave us old repaired devices when we go for replacement after warranty over by paying money, he said no no this is new remote, this condition is due to we used to carry new remotes with us all the time for replacement only. But i can clear recognize it is very old used remote, even in more worse condition then my non working remote. What a liar he was and airtel company indeed.And not only this, he also took my old damaged remote with him and said that we have to show it in the company. Such a fraudsters he was. I was little bit in hurry at that time so i let him go.
But he don't know me, I'm expert in catching these type of fraudsters. After he go i disassembled the remote to see any dust evidence .

I forgot to took my previous remote picture.
Then i have again raise a complaint and said this remote is also not working. ( If Airtel is a fraud then I am a bigger fraud than them )
I also called that technician and threatened him that return my old remote also and tomorrow if you come, come with new remote only.
So lets see tomorrow he will visit again.

please check whether bluetooth connection to box working or not in your remote. otherwise it is not a smart remote (voice support).

you can use ur mobile app for xstream box rather than wasting 350rs
Also new local shop u will get this remote for 100 to 150rs..

Yes it is working but technician failed to pair my tv remote with stb remote (for control basic tv option). That's also a reason i complaint again and call that technician and he agreed to come tomorrow.

Thats not a typical way to operate a dth tv channels.
Yeah i was also thought the same but those remotes are copied version and i thought from airtel i can get brand new remote .

Update on this complaint:
After i msg airtel care in x dm technician came today and replaced the remote to a new one . It is working fine now and brand new.

He also return my old not-working remote which he took with him. And last he also say plz don't complain any further, if you face any problem please call me.

Everything is same except bottom xstream logo.

You must have not accepted when you think it is old. Accepting it and later saying fraudulent is of no use. It is issue of a service personnel and it is exists everywhere and every company. It is responsibility of the consumers to be more aware and be cautious.
