Ajith's 25th film, Amarkalam, that created ripples at the Box Office way back in 1999, is all set to hit screens again. This time around, the film will be released with DI-restoration. Amarkalam was one of the turning points in Ajith's career, which catapulted him to a mass action hero, a big change from his hitherto romantic image. It was also on the sets of the film that he met his future wife, Shalini, who played the female lead in it.
The film is directed by Saran and Bharadwaj has scored the music. The new version is expected to hit screens on May 1, which happens to be Ajith's birthday. It looks like Ajith fans are in for a treat this summer.
