Ajmal who received a multitude for similar offers post his 'Ko' does not want to be type-casted.
The physio who put his professional career of being a doctor into the back burner and pursued his dream of making it big in the film industry is at the moment shooting for a couple of Tamil projects. One is 'Kathirvel' and the other 'Karuppampatti.' The latter is directed by Prabhu Raja Cholan, a debutant who is an associate of director Shankar.
This film sees Ajmal sharing screen space with two heroines Aparna Bajpai and Archana. Grapevine has it that for a particular scene Ajmal was required to kiss Aparna and on the lips and on the day of shoot he did a cold shoulder to the scene. The director who was shocked tried to convince the actor telling him about the importance of this scene to the script but seems to have got convinced by what Ajmal had to say and called off the lip-lock scene.

The actor before plunging into films had promised his parents that he would not do any vulgar scenes and keeping the promise he refused the scene.
