"Star Sports HD1" and "Star Sports HD2" channel names sound funny. It would have been better to name them "Star Sports 1 HD" and "Star Sports 2 HD".

It doesnt sound bad.... and the reason they kept the name like that is, both hd channels are seperate channels... i mean its not simulcast or sd version and hd version are the same... it is seprate channel where it telecast separate prog even the sd version is not airing it on the same time....

^^ All HD channels such as Ten HD, Nat Geo HD, Discovery HD, etc dont show the same programs as their SD channels do but still there names are same.

HD is a term for High Definition. Using it in a manner such as HD1, HD2 is simply stupid.

There is no such rules in naming the channel and it doesnt look stupid.... Star sports HD is counted 2... 1 & 2 ... thats it.... i dont knw hw to explain... but just think ... it s just a different way of naming the channel... their logo only looking stupid not their channel name..

Overall many members are feeling that the changes in logo/name is not as expected or the logo is too big & placing HD is bad...:no

This is the response I got on complaining about their weird logos:
