many Indian GEC's are fooling Indian viewers.....
Sony is charging rs19 plus taxes and showing just 2 new shows on their channel KBC and IBD rest all repeats.
Star plus is half of the time showing yeh rishta kya khelata hai in afternoon slot i feel since merger is done Star can rename Star plus as Star rishta they can keep showing yeh rishta 24/7... worst part they are showing SD version it looks ugly.
Star bharat is also having only 2 shows and are charging rs 19 plus taxes. rather then showing old shows y not showing New movies or show some kids show.....in mid 2000's GECs had good mix of shows,

Because most of the time my kids just watching YouTube via WiFi connection. If any news for DreamDTH then using Tata Play Live TV via Web Browsing - My Friends RMN.

FTA channels on DD Free Dish are telecasting better programs for free. Sony Entertainment Television is just playing old episodes of Crime Petrol Dastak and Kapil Sharma. Don't expect any new dramas on Star Plus, Sony and other paid channels because they are already in huge loss due to OTT, NetFlix and YouTube

In this regard, I'd like to say that Tamil GECs are doing a stellar job. Original shows on evening prime time, and afternoon slots on all the three leading tamil GECs. Zee Tamil and Sun tv show original content in morning slots too!


Also movies along with original content are shown throughout the day on weekends!

South GECs offer more value for money as compared to national ones, they have afternoon + primetime serials, reality shows, movie premieres, etc. Even there are good GECs which are FTA.

Sun TV currently broadcasts a variety of serials. From Monday to Saturday 9 serials are telecasting from morning 11AM to 3.30pm and 8 serials are telecasting from 7pm to 11pm. All of them are Original serials. Except Ramayanam dubbed serial airing on 6.30pm. Anamika serial airing on Sundays 2pm. Totally Sun tv airing 18 serials Daily. Sunday special serial Anamika. Totally 19 serials. Sun tv airing movies Monday to Saturday at 3.30pm. In Sunday's sun tv airing 3 movies at 9.30Am, 3pm,6.30pm. Also some reality shows on Sunday

Vijay tv Airing 14 serials daily. Atleast 6 reality shows airing on Saturday's and Sunday's. Tamil Reality shows king is Star Vijay Tv

Zee Tamil airing 14 serials. Some of them are dubbed one's. also some reality shows on Sunday
