Brands shouldn't be allowed to ask for such heavy prices for sd channels.
But instead they'll keep the price same on sd and increase HD channels prices.
SD resolution should be phased out.
It's literally pain while adding jiostar channels as their platform is so disorganised.

Broadcasters should make one channel with an HD 4K stream and give a downgrade feed if they need to. so they don't need to maintain 3 type of content delivery and 3 types of ad revenue.

Now all the SD feeds and ads are different from 3 formats of sd, HD & 4k. so it's a waste of space in satellite, manpower and content.

Broadcasters try to give all formats of feeds and try to grab as much money from viewers, that's why no one tries to give one feed with superior quality like overseas channels. (Example JayaTV HD)

Yes, just like OTT platforms, 720p or SD to basic viewers, 1080p or HD to standard viewers, and 4K to premium viewers.

price of Indian tv channels is way expensive outside India... for example here in Dubai one channel like Star Plus is priced at AED 10 which in Rs worth is 230 rs for one channel but yes quality is top notch better then what they are providing it in India as they can give quality in less price

Star Sports First for ₹0.5

Why ??
If I speak Hindi I have to pay 22 & if I knew Kannada then I can watch it for 0.50.

I know Star Sports First will be revamped for Kannada users for same price next month but at present Star should ask same price for all language users
