No, it ll replace 3s only. May be they'll use this sat for some other purpose for some time, like voice/data or maritime services etc... :k

as4 is @122, If it was to replace, it it wud have occupied that slot, but its on 120e.

120e is the final destination of asiasat7 and it will be operational soon. now testing TP 4152 V 6111 SD.

AsiaSat 7 was launched by ILS Proton Breeze M vehicle from Baikonur, Kazakhstan on 26 November 2011. The satellite is designed to replace AsiaSat 3S at the orbital location of 105.5 degrees East in late 2014. AsiaSat 7 is a Space Systems/Loral 1300 series satellite, with a design life of 15 years. It carries 28 C-band and 17 Ku-band transponders, and a Ka-band payload. With its region-wide C-band footprint covering Asia, the Middle East, Australasia and Central Asia, and high-power Ku beams serving East Asia and South Asia, and a steerable Ku beam, AsiaSat 7 will support a broad range of applications including TV broadcast and VSAT networks across the region.

With reference to lyngsat update, it has arrived at 120 deg E.

So already 1.5 years gone for testing, but GSAT-10 tests for 6 months some say it failed.

@offtopic : Cant say abt Gsat 10 at the moment... its still a mystery.... Hope it will be operational soon to cater to the needs of tata sky..
