BARC Ratings: ET NOW extends lead at No.1 spot, NDTV 24x7 rises to No.3

In the English news genre in week 42, the BARC data showed that NDTV 24x7 climbed to No.3 spot with a rise in its ratings. CNN IBN too managed to grow its ratings during the week. Times NOW saw a major dip in its ratings in week 42. In the English business news genre ET NOW extended its lead, on the back of large decline from CNBC TV18.

According to BARC data All India NCCS AB Males 22+ All India (U+R) (ratings in ‘000s), Times Now saw its ratings take a large it as it declined to 400 from 560 last week. However, the channel was comfortably perched at No.1 spot.

CNN IBN at No.2 spot saw its ratings grow to 250 this week from 233 last week.

NDTV 24x7 climbed to No.3 spot with a rise in its ratings to 223 from 183 last week.

India Today TV on the other hand slipped to No.4 spot as its ratings were at 194 from 202 last week.

News 9 too saw its rating decline this week to 143 from 156 last week.

In the English business news ET Now continued to enjoy a large lead over the competitors despite a small decline in its ratings this week. The channel’s ratings declined to 472 from 484 last week.

CNBC TV18’s ratings took a large decline as it fell to 278 this week from 368 last week.

NDTV Profit and NDTV Prime came in at No.3 spot as its ratings grew marginally to 112 this week from 108 last week.

Bloomberg TV’s ratings saw a huge decline to 17 this week from 38 last week.
