Sony Pal wears Hindi GEC crown in U+R HSM for first time
MUMBAI: Free-to-air (FTA) Hindi GEC Sony Pal is wearing the Hindi GEC crown for the first time in urban + rural Hindi-speaking market (HSM).
Sony Pal’s viewership grew 16.49% over the previous week to record 70.26 crore impressions in the week ended 31 March. In the process, it dethroned Star Plus from its No. 1 position.
According to BARC India data for Week 13, Star Plus, which had been leading the charts for five consecutive weeks, dropped to the second spot, seeing a decline of 6.43% in its weekly impressions. The channel registered 68.15 crore impressions in Week 13.
Colors moved to the third rank with 63.88 crore weekly impressions, witnessing a growth of 1.27% compared to the earlier week.
Sony Entertainment Television (SET) swapped places with Star Utsav to occupy the eighth spot.
